Postman's Knock

I love being able to communicate in an instant with computers.
However, I do miss lovely letters in the post.
These days the only thing delivered in the post box are bills.
With our on-line lifestyle comes on-line shopping, which I also love.
The best thing about on-line shopping is the delivery.

The postman left this package on my doorstep the other morning.

Yippee!!!

It arrived only 3 days after I tip tapped the order on my keyboard.

My son put in an request for a crochet blanket last year.
I've finally gotten round to at least buying the yarn.
He is a keen Miami Dolphin grid iron fan -
guess why I choose these colours.

This will take the best part of winter,
as I plan to make a full size single blanket
(am I crazy?!)
Just planning the stripe combo and intend to start at the weekend.
Wish me luck.

Oh I love that kind of knock at the door from the postman! Those Bendigo wools are so smooshy, I love the colour choice! Happy hooking - I can't wait to see it's progress!

How ambitious and exciting. I look forward to seeing what pattern you create and watching your progress.
Internet shopping is a godsend in our time poor lives; although it can be dangerous to buy so easily at the click of a button. :)

I got a parcel today too, I've been looking forward to it for ages. Isn't receiving pretty things in the post the best!

Those wools look so cozy, look forward to seeing your creation! :)

Hi Carmel,
That's a good momma that makes her son in the midst of soccer territory a Miami Dolphin blanket. I'm from south Florida so I think your son's taste in teams is excellent!

Take good care,

Karen

You are utterly crazy. But it's going to be AMAZING. (Hope he's a staunch sort of supporter!).

Ooh Carmel, you are taking on something I only dream off... I wish I could have the skills and patience to make a blanket, only made a barbie one long time ago, only by accident...
Good luck honey!

I'm popping over from Maureen's Daydream Living to say hello! Receiving mail is always a treat -- I don't often get any on this side of the world because the mail system is so unreliable. Yarn is always puts a smile on my face. Love your MIL blanket and the idea for the bag to be used as a pillow. Have a great weekend. Tammy

Hi Carmel, first time visit via Maureen Daydream Living. I'm also in Australia from the UK. Been reading through your lovely blog and I have to tell you that every time my 8year old and I watch Mama Mia we both cry too! We even had a sniffle in the theatre show last year...
